International Women's Day Conference and Skill Acquisition Training
On 7th March 2026, Little Light Women and Children Initiative, in partnership with DAS Generation, hosted the International Women’s Day Conference 2026 under the theme: “Rights. Justice. Action. Give to Gain.”
The conference brought together young women ready to do more than dream. Three powerful sessions set the tone for the day.
Mrs. Ekemini George, E.D DAS Generation opened with a deep dive into women’s rights covering bodily autonomy, political, educational, and family rights, equipping participants with knowledge of what they are entitled to as women and citizens.
Mrs. Blessing Nsiffiok, a counseling psychologist challenged participants to embrace a giving mindset, encouraging them to invest their time, skills, and resources in others, while also building financial intelligence and a culture of saving and smart investment.
To wrap things up, Mrs. Queen Esther of EL-QUEENMIX led a hands-on liquid soap production training that had participants engaged from start to finish, walking away with a real, marketable skill.
Certificates were presented to all participants in recognition of their commitment to learning and growth. Every participant left impacted, inspired, and equipped.
